Fisher & Son Company is a wholesale distributor of turf and horticultural products based in Exton, PA, servicing the mid-Atlantic region. The company is seeking a professional with industry experience to lead the inventory department as a Supply Chain Manager.

The objective of the Supply Chain Manager is to oversee inventory and the department in a comprehensive manner. This role will track inventory levels to ensure that levels stay within acceptable ranges and must maintain a deep awareness of the organization’s process flow. The position will interface with each of the departments including operations, sales and administration. Guidance will be provided by ownership; however, the Supply Chain Manager will be self-sufficient and take full initiative by bringing their depth of experience and knowledge; providing ownership with analysis, areas for improvement, greater efficiency and improved systems and processes, etc.

The selected candidate will have the ability to grow within the organization and will be an integral part of the continued growth of the company.

Below are general responsibilities, however the position will develop organically and may include other responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the inventory levels of the company and devise ways to optimize inventory control procedures
  • Manage a team of purchasing specialists and provide guidance and direction
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with suppliers 
  • Ensure product stock is adequate to cover customer demand 
  • Review existing forecasting model then develop and implement system efficiencies that incorporates from the sales team and other stakeholders.
  • Create and implement inventory thresholds within provided guidelines and track inventory threshold on a daily basis
  • Collaborate with warehouse employees and other staff to ensure business goals are met
  • Report to ownership on stock levels, inventory turns and other best management practice metrics.

Qualification Requirements:

  • 5+ years of industry experience
  • Leadership, computer and management skills
  • Detail-oriented and dependable problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or Turf related field
Compensation and Benefits:
  • $100,000 - $120,000, based on experience
  • Paid vacation, personal and sick time
  • 9 paid holidays plus two additional paid days off
